Burl Ives: "A Holly Jolly Christmas" Cover
This song was written by the American songwriter Johnny Marks, who also wrote another Christmas songs like "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (a hit for Gene Autry and others), "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" (first recorded by Bing Crosby), "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" (a hit for Brenda Lee) and Run Rudolph Run (recorded by Chuck Berry). This is my personal version for this song. I hope you'll like it.

A Holly Jolly Christmas
Burl Ives
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
It's the best time of the year
I don't know if there'll be snow,
But have a cup of cheer.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
And when you walk down the street
Say Hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet.
Oh, ho, the mistletoe
Hung where you can see;
Somebody waits for you;
Kiss her once for me.
Have a holly jolly Christmas,
And in case you didn't hear,
Oh by golly, have a holly, jolly Christmas
this year.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
It's the best time of the year
Instrumental
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
And when you walk down the street
Say Hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet.
Oh, ho, the mistletoe
Hung where you can see;
Somebody waits for you;
Kiss her once for me.
Have a holly jolly Christmas,
And in case you didn't hear,
Oh by golly, have a holly, jolly Christmas
this year.
