All users on this website can send instant messages to each other, but when someone sends us a message while we are offline, we can configure the system to notify us about the new message via e-mail. We can also manage our blocked users, the autoresponder, autofowarding and if we want the a popup window to be displayed when a new message arrives.
In order to access the instant messenger settings click on the link "Private Messages" on the upper right side of this page.  Click on the link "Settings" at the bottom left side of the page.  We'll be taken to the page where we can manage our instant messages preferences.  For the section "E-mail notification" it is advisable to select "E-mail notification of new messages" so we don't miss any important messages. Also it is recommended to keep the option "Show a popup when a new message arrives" under the section "More settings" enabled, since this way we'll be notified about new instant messages with a little popup window.  |
